" The LX180 was packed very well and easy to unbox and set up The unit itself is the ideal size for a home office in that it has a small footprint yet the hopper is large enough to hold a good amount before having to be emptied. It shreds multiple sheets with ease. I am delighted with the performance of this shredder. When the machine is in operation, there is a bright light below the paper slot that indicates the machine is operating (green) which changes to color as it is loaded, it’s a great feature to know if you’re feeding too much at once. It goes from green to yellow then red if you feed too much in at once. I did test this function and I really had to put in very thick stack to get it to go red and stop. No problem it just backed the paper out so I could half the stack and it then shredded all. It turns blue when complete and if left unused it will go to sleep with no lights on.
There is also a red indicator light when the shredder needs to be emptied. The hopper bin pulls out and closes very easily. The noise level while shredding seemed to be much lower than other shredders I’ve had.
The auto stop feature is a great safety feature particularly if toddlers are around. It doesn’t take long after fingers are moved away for it to restart again. "
I would highly recommend the LX180 to anyone considering a new shredder. I have received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. "

" Fellowes makes great shredders. This may be my favorite shredder for my home office of all time. It has a slender and attractive footprint for its bin capacity with gentle and modern lights that indicate when it is shredding. I also like the modern lines and gentle sounds it makes. For a workhorse of a machine, it is delightfully simple and safe. The peace of mind that comes with SafeSense that guards our fingers is worth it, especially for an item that can shred through credit cards and staples. My other favorite feature is the efficiency meter. This will indicate if you can add more sheets of paper to the mouth of the device! Brilliant. If you are looking for a hassle-free investment for your home office, that is efficient and functional plus easy on the eyes, this is definitely it. "
