For over 100 years, Fellowes has been focused on people and the work they do. More
specifically, how they do it, and where they do it. Even from our earliest product
innovations, we’ve brought new efficiency, comfort, and safety to the spaces where
work happens.
As early pioneers of human-centered product design, our journey led us to an
expanded vision of our role in creating healthier workplaces, and a deeper
understanding of how indoor environments should be catered to the needs of the
people that use them, not the other way around.
In 2008, Fellowes launched its first innovative range of personal air purifiers to
help improve the overall well-being of individuals. While the original intent
for Fellowes air purification was to address allergens, we soon identified that
organizations were facing a greater impact of indoor air quality. One driven by
viruses and germs.
Increased awareness of the impact of Sick Building Syndrome, SARS and the
realization that HEPA filtration could help prevent the spread of airborne viruses,
lead Fellowes to recognize a growing market and human need for large-scale,
commercial-grade air solutions.
Following extensive research into the biological and physiological factors that
impact human performance in the workplace, we determined that the quality of indoor
air proved to be one of the most overlooked and misunderstood, yet the most
consequential.
